Mick was a singer in the mod band Motive in the mid 60's along with keyboard player John Smith. He has also been very successful playing soul gigs as a solo performer and was the prime mover in putting Soulfaces together.
Andy was playing drums for jazz bands around about the same time as he was playing with his train set. He's since played for numerous bands in the Sheffield area, earning himself the nickname 'Chair Leg Andy', which refers to his crunching snare sound.
Bass Guitar, Vocals
Alan has played bass, guitar & keyboard in pubs & clubs in various bands over the years. He plays both covers and original material in his bands and currently also plays in the band Eyeball with Andy Wallace.
John's early bands were formed with Paul Carrack and both became professional musicians with C.G.Morris & The Reaction Soul Band at the age of 16. Over the years John has played with a long list of bands always providing solid backing for the band and is the perfect guitar player for Soulfaces.
As well as playing with Mick in Motive, John went on to play with Love or Confusion who were signed to the Immediate label in the late 60's. He then went on to have a successful career at Warner Brothers Records and EMI away from the playing side.
